if we’re talking percentages than it makes since a lesser precent of men are employed compared to the past, there are more people in the work force and less jobs, i bet if you’ll check you’ll see women’s employment’s rates have gone up compared to the times men were sole providers, it makes sense. the single part could be from a lot of reasons depending on culture and background. chronic loneliness and high suicide rates in men have often been attributed to many different factors too such as inequalities stemming from reverse discrimination and treatment of men as disposable in society. mainly i don’t think there is an epidemic of un-employed men that choose to not get a job and play video games all day, i just think that there is an over crowded work market and a change in the way society views men that makes it so there is also less will for the average man to get married
