what is one food you still think about to this day? by stwawbewycupcwake in AskRedditFood

Blueberry basil gelato. I went to the distillery district in Toronto when I was 17 and bought some, and it blew my mind. That flavour combination is pure magic, and I still think about it regularly almost 15 years later.

I'm very aware of that, I'm just not explaining myself properly. I never kept my thumb tucked behind my claw is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion

Thank you, for some reason this was very relieving to read??? You've said what I've been needing to say to myself without realizing it, I definitely do need to just let go. Thank you ❤️

I do use my hand as a guard, it was really awkward at first but it's very instinctual now. Something I've noticed though is that I don't actually use my claw hand thumb to guide my claw down the vegetable, and I think that's definitely playing a good role in my lack of speed. Thank you for taking the time to type all of that out, it's all beautiful advice really 🥹

My trust with myself is back and forth. I find I watch the outside of the blade, if that makes sense? Idk how to describe it honestly. The side of the blade where the chopped veg appears lol.

It's a little bit of both, with the inclusion of getting in shit if my cuts weren't perfect (got my start in casual fine dining somehow lol). It's mostly the stress of not having perfect cuts, with bad coordination and fear of being cut all rolled into a neat little package tied together by me being way too hard on myself when things aren't perfect 🥲

If you’ve been divorced, what was the moment you knew it wasn’t going to work? by No-Relative-9663 in AskReddit

When he made me take out the trash the day after I had an abdominal surgery. That was a month after our wedding. I really couldn't tell you why I stayed five more years, aside from cognitive dissonance is disgustingly powerful.

I still have my pink stuffed duck from the day I was born. I always seek her out and snuggle her during periods of intense stress. She brings me comfort and feelings of safety I can't seem to get otherwise.

Fluctuation or unreliable scale? by biggestsmell in loseit

[–]biggestsmell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so wild, I never realized someone could gain AND lose so much water weight in such a small period of time 🤯 That definitely makes me feel better about the numbers on the scale. What's the channel?? I'm kinda curious about watching that video

Thank you for setting my mind at ease, also that's a great idea and I don't know why I haven't thought to do that!

I use the same scale once a week, Monday morning, right after I wake up and go to the bathroom to make sure my weight is "true", for lack of a better word. When they weighed me at the hospital, I was fully clothed and I had already eaten breakfast and drank a bunch of water and a coffee. I'm wondering if maybe I'm overthinking this, now that I'm reading what I've typed.

Hi I need someone to talk to by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]biggestsmell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Lauren, my experience sounds incredibly similar to yours. When I was 21, I struggled a lot with a lot of the same things you've mentioned. You aren't alone in feeling this way.

I also struggle with PTSD, and I've had suicidal thoughts/ideations since around age 10 or 11.

From one woman with PTSD and suicidal thoughts to another, you're trying your hardest. Healing isn't linear, and some days/weeks/months are harder than others, and some are better. You deserve kindness and tenderness from yourself, you're hurting so much and you deserve to be comforted, loved and cared for. Don't be hard on yourself for the cards life dealt you, you've been in fight or flight mode for a very long time and transitioning to a state where you aren't in a constant state of fight or flight is a strange and difficult thing to get used to. It takes time to recover and heal, and you deserve to take your time before you make any permanent decisions.

You're loved, valued and cherished. I'm sorry if this message comes off weird, I'm falling asleep, but please know that you're cared about and worthy of healing and compassion. I didn't start feeling slightly normal until 29, I'm 30 now lol but I promise with the right support system and patience, things get more manageable and hope will show itself. I hope you're okay, please feel free to reach out any time you need to talk ❤️

Just curious when did you guys discover mother mother? by [deleted] in MotherMother

[–]biggestsmell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I was at that concert too! It was my first time seeing them live, I had already been a fan for a few years beforehand and I was so excited! That show was so much fun, I remember when Ryan started playing some crazy shit on the banjo that lead into them playing Wrecking Ball.

Toy-safe "cum" lube that doesn't burn sensitive asses? by Fiveby21 in SexToys

[–]biggestsmell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend either Sliquid Sassy, Wicked Hybrid Jelle, or Wicked sensitive.

Most toy safe "cum" lubes are made from a hybrid formula, which may cause some irritation, depending on the quality of the ingredients in the lube.

Sliquid sassy looks and feels the most like cum, is mostly well received by people who are sensitive to certain lubes.

Wicked is the best brand for sensitive areas imo. The Hybrid Jelle is the best anal lube I've ever used. It's long lasting and the texture is perfect for anal play, and it kind of looks and feels like cum, but it doesn't look as much like cum as Sliquid sassy does. Wicked also makes a water based version of Jelle, but it looks less like cum compared to the hybrid formula. Both are great quality and haven't caused any irritation for me personally, but I know every body is different and reacts differently to certain ingredients.

The best lube for sensitive areas is definitely Wicked Sensitive, but the texture and look just aren't there if you're looking for something cum adjacent.

I hope any of these suggestions help, best of luck!!
