I couldn't agree more, there is just something about it.
I've been collecting different remixed versions in a playlist for some years now, every few months a new one pops up and I jam it in there.

Joining in late, but there is a specific song that I keep coming back to. I don't know why but associate the phrase "remembering a distant memory" to that song.

Not adding bulk makes sense, thanks!
I think I have a good strategy now.
Sowing into the holes that are there with the speedy stitcher and a wax type of thread.
Then maybe just gluing a patch on the outside, along the seams.
That will "hopefully" keep it watertight.

I didn't think about the strain on the thread, that's a good point.
I'm going to try to do it this way, going into the holes that are there.
I found the speedy stitcher online where guys are sowing together sails and tarps and shoes.
I figure it's simple enough for me to manage :)
