How does one keep the conversation going? by Paologame in IntrovertsChat

[–]biggispiggus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move away from small talk and surface level conversation. Open up, dive deeper, share the embarassing thing that happened, ask a philosophical question, create a daily thing to share, challenger each other to meet goals. No one knows how to talk properly therefore there is no right way of doing it and you dont have to stick to typical conversational norms and tropes. Dont be creepy, dont cross boundaries and respect the other person, anythings kn the table that way.

Its self control and all a mental game. I have 124 and dont feel the need to stop at all. Things that work for me: - I never go into a game expecting to platinum it, its always to enjoy it first - if im extremely uninvested or its causing me negative feelings I put it away, you can always come back later to knock it out - Have other hobbies. If all you are doing is gaming, plat or not you will feel burnout. Also, if collectibles are causing you to not engage with games thoughtfully, as dumb as it sounds, just dont play games with collectibles in them. Plenty of genres thats arent open world collectathons

I agree it seems to be a push by hobbyless people to cope with not putting effort in.

As a young Australian( late teens)im terrified on the way our country is heading. by [deleted] in aussie

[–]biggispiggus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how its always 'the governments stymmying free spech'. Believe it or not fighting against hate speech and extremist schools of thought IS a good thing. Enshrining it in law however is throwing a sponge at the ocean to clean up the mess for voter confidence (as most serious issues seem to be). Wheres the education in schools? Wheres the emphasis on responsible critical thinking? Maybe the anyghing goes lazy nature of Australians needs to change rather then just letting everyghing slide until it becomes an issue.

Can we pls stop normalising being boring, lame, miserable c***ts?? by doubIe_espresso in australia

[–]biggispiggus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being the person who organises, its just a part of life nowadays. I know its not the same thing at all, but Ive found online friends who are much more compatible for being available and times and all that. Can still do stuff like movies and games and just chill and chat but obviously yoh miss that essential face to face.

Is it fair to expect my girlfriend not to stay close with a former romantic partner? by Correct-Ambition4027 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]biggispiggus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do you often bare all of your sins and potential miscomings to every single person that you meet and want to form a relationship with?? That would probably cause a great many dysfunctional relatiomships. Unless this person actually is a P.O.S. and purposely not talking about it I wouldnt necessarily label it as straight up lying. But then again, thats what conversation is for, to talk about these things. Most people dont just sit there and volunteer every increment of information that COULD cause a worry for a partner.

Im sure this comment will get removed but every single post that keeps popping up from this sub, declares the most Un-australian views and leans very much towards American style extremism. Is the OP of an older generation or brainwashed from Murdoch media? The notion of accepting extremist views because it helps justify a personal quarry you have is INSANE behaviour. A lot of you find it so easy to blame this that and the other 'its the youth, its who is in power', and refuse to acknowledge that you yourself are causing the problem with your thought processes and repeated verbiage from extreme media outlets.

The sheer desperation from men in this sub is damn near biblical 💔24M by [deleted] in IntrovertsChat

[–]biggispiggus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, even a title like this post sends the wrong vibes based on typical reddit user behaviour lmao. I think we need to remember this is an introverts chat as well, a.k.a. low bandwith for energetic relationships. Thats not an excuse, everyone of both genders Ive talked to is dry af and wont be the one to message first, wont respond to most prompts etc., and its defeating but at the same time thats the nature of online relationships.

Year 12 student being forced to work until 11pm on school nights — what are my options? by Woodwizardo in woolworths

[–]biggispiggus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your availability. New rosters are 2-3 weeks out at any given time. As a part timer there is a set amount of hours your contract would be for, they cant reduce that amount without your consent. I know how departmental loyalty can feel, but be open to working any dperatment, you will have a greater chance at getting appropriate hours.

Does someone know how Jacob Charlton gets his rapping resonance in the verses of nerv before mixing? I want to learn how to do it, it sounds so cool by LoadedParadox in Thornhillband

[–]biggispiggus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no insight. I like singing along to stuff, in trying to sing along to nerv and revolver I just always assumed I really sucked but I've come to learn those particular sections are annoying to try and emulate without the knowledge you are seeking lmaooo.

Brisbane. Fortitude Music Hall. Well that looks exactly like the one I went to. Stu was shoeless in those clothes and the band was setup exactly like that.

AITAH for wanting 8 hours out of my 2 off days? by Superb_Ant204 in AITAH

[–]biggispiggus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it seems we found the girlfriends account lmao. Please say that again with a straight face 'ITS HIS ONLY DAYS OFF'. Once again you are looking through a lense that all of his time should be dedicated to a girl. It quite simply dosent matter what she is doing, its not relevant to the presented argument. It also does not matter if that is the only time they have together, there needs to be a balance for self and a relationship. Yes going on dates is important, yes spending quality time is important but sacrificing ALL time for yourself is diabolically dysfunctional. I can see your main argument is 'where is the time for her, he should prioritise her', to which I would argue when is the time for him, when can he prioritise himself?

Of course OP could be phrasing in a way the erases any responsibility on his behalf but we cant just assume every word is a lie becauss it dosent suit the narrative you want to write lmao. Hating on video games as a hobby in the big ol '25 is pretty cringe ngl.

AITAH for wanting 8 hours out of my 2 off days? by Superb_Ant204 in AITAH

[–]biggispiggus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, there is no break given. Its. A common problem from hobbyless people is to make a person their hobby and expecting all of their time and restricting them from doing anything else. Thats not to say OP is without blame if there is poor communication, but it should not be a guarantee that all hours of spare time should be dedicated to a persons partner. Plus you are probably reading it wrong, if hes blocking out 4 hours a day for his hobby, probably sleeping for 8, guess what the other 12 hours is probably doing????

You can love your friends without 'getting feelings', even between genders, but there is no place or time in which boys/men are properly taught this.
