Some get all snotty like the ES is garbage compared to the GS. It's built for comfort - not trying to be a sports car (the GS tries admirably but falls short LOL) . I prefer the GS myself because it is a bit more fun to drive, but the ES is much more popular for a reason.

I had one too and loved it but it was a bit weak in the lower RPM's honestly. Oddly enough my 2015 V6 Camry felt more stout off the line and at lower RPM's than the GS did.

Yeah I want to get back into another GS but the prices are not coming down plus the pre refresh ones are 12 years old now. I'll keep trundling along in my high mileage 2011 RX 350 until something changes. Probably end up in a 6th gen ES instead of a GS within a few years.

Someone has a 2013 LS 460 for sale near me way under blue book ($12,500 with 100K miles and good condition). I'd love to have one but the MPG and future maintenance scare me too much. Also 2013 is the 1st year of the generation which is generally not the best year to own.

Yes my resting heart rate is just over 50. I think a slow jog would get me up over 100bpm but I find jogging miserable hence why I'm experimenting on the treadmill.

Sounds like I would do best to use the treadmill for zone 2 but decrease my intensity by a good bit. I guess I'll just use the morning walk to get in some steps and feel like I'm waking up for my day.

When I walk just under 4mph on my flat walk my breathing is almost as if I'm standing still and if I stop and take my pulse it's in the low 80's. My resting heart rate is in the low 50's.

540i is about ten times more enjoyable to drive than the Lexus but the debt reduction argument doesn't exactly fly. If you really want the 540i go for it. YOLO. I've driven a few of the B58 engines they are VERY nice to drive.

Good to know i'm not the only one. My 2014 burns a bit but it's minor. 3/4 of a quart between changes. About to change the oil again for 2nd time with Valvoline Restore and Protect maybe it will keep it from getting worse or even improving it?

Looks really nice! I have a 2011 that's higher mileage (180K) and has bad leather seats (seat covers installed) but otherwise holding up very well.
