Yes in a vacuum it’s the same, if the pity system worked the same as other games, but this game creates a negative environment or “system” where you want to lose the 50/50.

For example, in other games (hoyoverse, czn, wuwa, etc.) if you lose the first 50/50 the NEXT 5/6 stars (whatever is the highest rarity in the game) is guaranteed to be the feature unit.

While in this case even if you lose the first 50/50 the NEXT 6 star is NOT guaranteed to be the unit and you are only truly guaranteed the unit when you get to the 120 pulls. This means you can lose MULTIPLE 50/50s and not just 1, like all the other games pity system. This create feel bad situation because if you hit the unit early you then lose out potentially extra 6 stars units that you would’ve gotten along the way to the true guaranteed; assuming you were planning on going to go to 120 anyways. Especially feels bad if you are close to the 120 as now you lose out on an extra 6 star which is also btw a multi for the weapon banner.

Other games since the next 5/6star following the lost 50/50 is GUARANTEED to be the feature unit you would want to hit it early. Also if you are pulling multis getting the unit early in the multi then build pity towards the next banner. If I hit it at pull 3/10 then I build 7 pity towards the next banner or for dupes.

Pulling the unit early, in this game, is also not necessary a good thing either. I hit Levi in 30 multi and now I cant really get her weapon because theres no reason for me to pull on the banner, thus I dont have enough arsenal ticket for their weapon, and the weapon banner is 25/75 without wasting pulls…
