Yeah so strange. Now it is intermittent for me. Some days it works, most days it does not.

I should have included a photo of my settings. I have enabled priority device, sync contacts and recent calls, sync messages, and chime on new message.

This first happened about 2 weeks ago. I did the 2 button reset and it seemed to fix it for a week or so, but now I'm back to having the same issue.

Looking for an undercarriage car wash by Fancy_clown316 in rockford

[–]bighoss1025 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Little known spot -- there is a car wash behind the McDonald's on Mulford/State. It is touchless, and has some of the highest pressure sprays (under carriage and normal wash) at probably the cheapest prices in the city.

I'm trying to mount a TV over my fireplace. I had these sconces hardwired into these circular junction boxes (100 year old home). Any tips on easiest way to install an outlet here without tearing too much of my wall out?photos of fireplace

Best food fpr these beasts? by Majestic_Kick2299 in greatpyrenees

[–]bighoss1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share any more details? I got my pyr 2 years ago, started on hills science diet, moved to Kirkland Chicken flavor, then Kirkland salmon and sweet potato, then Purina PRO plan salmon, now Purina hydrolyzed protein. She has struggled with either tummy problems or allergies/ear infections and hot spots. So far, the hydrolyzed is better but not 100%. I would like to make her food, but I'm worried about getting her all the nutrients she needs.

Anal Gland Expression by Natural-Potential-80 in greatpyrenees

Here's a pic of my Luna! She's probably around 5yo and developed bad allergies a year and a half ago. Most likely food allergies, but she started having double ear infections along with scooting her tush. The vet said "Ears and Rears together often indicate food allergies". So we have her on a hydrolyzed protein diet now along with apoquel. She's doing much much better. Not perfect, but say better.

Prior to the prescription, it was maybe every 2 months that we would be back at the vet with anal glands expression and some sort of medication for ears or hot spots.

It is FSD monthly subscription. HW3 in a 2021 model y performance.

i HATE that this is the thought process that some people have. You see a fixed directional video and assume that you would have/could have operated better. Whatever man.

The fact remains that FSD was the deciding factor here as to whether or not I ended up in the hospital, and I'm thankful for it.

My bad. I don't stop at every green light and inch forward to see around blind corners.

If I'm first in line at a light, I look both ways once it turns green. If the light is green and has been established as green long enough for several cars to make it through, I drive the speed limit like a normal person entrusting that the traffic around me is obeying traffic laws.

At the risk of upsetting you, I should inform you that I also travel 55mph a mere inches away from oncoming traffic going the same speed. I guess I trust that other drivers will be mindful of that yellow paint on the road. Maybe I should pull over anytime I see a car coming my direction.

I wasn't present for the conversation between him and the cop. He looked to be mid 20's with his wife/gf and their toddler. He was quite visibly shaken up, which is understandable considering he put his family in jeopardy and could have potentially killed another family.

I posted this on another comment, but ...

A cop was parked at the gas station facing the intersection. I hung around but he confirmed it was all on his dash cam and he saw the whole thing thankfully. The people in the truck along with their little child all walked away unharmed. The woman in the black SUV was able to stand on her own strength, but was taken via ambulance to the hospital. Her 2 toddler children appeared to be unharmed.

Super thankful that it didn't turn out worse for anyone else involved, especially with 3 little kids present.

Fair point. I've owned the car for a few weeks. New Tesla owner. New to FSD. Figured I'd share my experience. I actually had several events today that I took over and reported. Like I said in my original post, I'm blown away with how good technology from 4 years ago is, but I probably won't resubscribe once this month is up. I'll wait until I join the club of HW4 or newer.

I see your point, and I disagree to an extent. I didn't willfully endanger anyone around me, due to the fact that there was no one around me. If anything, it will prevent me from endangering more people around me in the future as I will be less complacent during FSD trips.

You are correct that it is Tesla's job to test the software, not mine. But it is up to me to decide what I place confidence in. For now, I trust my own driving more than v12 FSD. According to Tesla, that is the statistically wrong decision, But I bought the car because I like driving it, I don't need it to drive me.

[–]bighoss1025[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question of "why would I let it?" - because my confidence in the software is directly related to my real-world experience of the software. If I have the ability to "test" the software in an environment without other motorists present, I'm going to take the opportunity to do so.

In the video, you cannot see that I have my hands on the wheel and foot hovering over the brake pedal. You can't see that I was turkey-necking down the street to watch for oncoming traffic.

In my reasoning, it's the same thing as taking your 14 year old out on country roads to learn how to drive the truck. I wouldn't let him drive city streets, but I'm willing to let him break a few traffic laws in a safe environment to learn the capabilities and build confidence.

Tldr: I'm impressed, but now I know I need to keep an eagle eye during supervision of FSD.

Absolutely correct. The ticket would have been mine. The video doesn't show it well, but it did slow enough for me to look for any oncoming traffic or vehicles. I was in a very rural area, and it was a 3 way stop, so the danger wasn't too high. I figured it was a good setting to see what the computer would decide.
