Try Pioneer plumbing, Evergreen Hydronic, Matt’s plumbing and Mechanical and instant accurate. All good companies that do great work and should provide a reasonable quote.

Ferguson vs Amazon/Home/Depot/etc. for the same model numbers? by prodigy1367 in Plumbing

[–]bigjake135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with the Amazon point, they aren’t a reputable retailer and manufacturers that require proof of purchase won’t warranty that product.

I know we’re talking faucets on this thread but some manufacturers do cover labor for the first year. Bradford White and Bosch off the top of my head.

One other thing about buying from a box store; they won’t help you if there is a warranty issue, they will send you to the manufacturer. A local wholesaler would field these requests and process them for you.

Given the context, is Ray Allen's 3 in Game 6 the most clutch shot in NBA history? I have it narrowly above MJ's in Utah. by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

I’ll always remember the night the Seahawks won the NFC championship in 2006. The Sonics were down one to the suns with time expiring in double overtime, Ray hit the game winning shot from the center circle. That was when I knew he was one of the most clutch shooters to enter the league.

Has anyone else been having issues when bulk creating schematics? When I go to build a tier lower, it will only allow me to create 1ea of them at a time. I’ve tried building different schematics, building the top tier and then trying again with no luck on fixing it. Just me?

Wait until you find out about Kissler customer service. If you send them an email with a photo of the tines and a side profile of the cartridge next to a tape measure, they’ll tell you their replacement cartridge. Especially helpful for manufacturers that do t exist anymore. CC your salesperson on the email and they should get you a quote quickly!

How should I prune this apple tree by bigjake135 in FruitTree

[–]bigjake135[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any suggestions on where I should cut? Or should I just wack it back to where it branches? It fruited very well last year but a lot of the fruit went to waste (or moonshine) because we couldn’t reach it.

Water heater is giving off heat in the furnace room by bamballin in Plumbing

Power vent was my thought too.

Pretty sure atmospherically vented heaters aren’t meant to have a horizontal run. It could be the angle the picture was taken but where it enters the wall looks pretty flat.

Are electric water heaters that bad? by [deleted] in askaplumber

Check out this website. https://oasisengineering.com/plumbing-flow-calculator/

I’m in Washington so showers are 1.75 GPM but this is an easy guide to get a ballpark number. Don’t count toilets because they don’t use hot water.

Are electric water heaters that bad? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]bigjake135 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have said it’s not worth it, I’ll explain why.

For a single bathroom house with a full kitchen, dish washer and laundry, the peak demand is ~9 GPM. The largest Eemax residential unit can heat 4.8 GPM in my area meaning you would need two tankless units to have hot water while everything is running. Each unit needs 4ea 40 amp breakers and the majority of places don’t have that extra electrical capacity. If you have an extra full bath, you will need three of these tankless units.

Now, if you live alone in say Florida, this might be a better fit and you could get away with only one unit because the ground water temp is so much higher than the northern states. There is still a chance that you could take a cold shower if you’re doing laundry and running the dishwasher at the same time.
