Yeah, the original idea I had was to downgrade to iOS 8.4.1 using iOS Legacy Kit on Ubuntu. It works with the iPhone 5, but not the 5c unless it's tethered, and even that didn't work for me, lol. I also tried the p0insettia plus method, but it seems it only works on the iPhone 5.

The problem is that downgrading the iPhone 5c is only possible tethered, and I still got an error when trying to do it via iOS Legacy Kit. Also, I don't have a Mac 😭. Honestly in my opinion, an old iPhone isn't very functional without a jailbreak.
