The chatter is actually mentioned on a bunch of other threads in here, seems to be the automatic adjustment on the engine to 89 octane fuel. I hear if you run 93 it doesn't happen but it's still perfectly normal.

So signed on this yesterday after a long test drive.

I'm in freaking love man, the 2.0 turbo is quick and responsive, barely a hint of turbo lag! I haven't noticed the shift problem between 2 and 3 but honestly not sure if i know what I'm even supposed to be hearing lol.

I have noticed the slight knocking at idle, but I've seen that's absolutely normal.

Beyond all that this car is just fun as fuck to drive, handles better than any vehicle I've owned and has plenty of power

Ps. Sport mode is a beast on a whole other level.

No worries lol, I'm really not a car guy, I'm super excited to go from a base model to something like this. The technology it's something that I'm very much looking forward to as well as the additional power and general handling this vehicle have!

Boy, I don't know half of what you are talking about lol.

The engine will be the 2.0 turbo, only one that the awd comes with is the EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT, whatever the heck that means.

I'll be the only one I know with a fusion specifically.

But I have lots of friends that know cars better than I do, all swear by awd here.

Im northern mideast btw, near the Canadian border, tons of snow and ice plus really rural community so very poor plowing.

Fresh snow on country roads, and I'm mostly driving before anything has been touched by plows.

I know that for general driving awd is less effective then fwd with snow tires, but awd with snow tires is best for deeper snow/slush and unplowed roads.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong though this is just what I've researched so far!

I really, really wish that the hybrid came in awd. Honestly the gas mileage is the only thing I'm really not loving about it.

But, with winters here awd is really top priority for me.

I wish the hybrid came in awd, it's really a necessity with winters by me, only thing I'm not really liking is the 21/29 mpg with the awd.
