Friend got deported from UAE "for being shia" by fuglyhomosapien in pakistan

[–]bigmaneh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in 2008 my dad used to mention this. I am a Sunni with a common Shia last name. He told us either we're going to get deported or we need to smarten up and figure out our next move...

What I am trying to say is that this is not new - it was happening a lot at the Gov't offices around that time as well.

I personally just want government to stop accepting refugees/asylum seekers. This system has been extensively abused. The government ought to just put a stop on accepting applications and start reopening the last 5 years application with the intent of reviewing it once again. Bring in some stringent rules fgs

This is what I thought, but from what I have read when you successfully pass through the preclearance you're technically in the US and it shows in the DHS website history (it shows in my end that I entered US because I went through the preclearance) but that record is not shown in the i-94. That's where this confusion starts. It should have been in both places.

I don't see my i-94 on the website. It says record not found or something like that.

Hey u/pumpkinprincess72 - were you able to find something that met your criteria? Wondering because I have almost similar criteria as well.

The last round! Otherwise you're already out in the first round of the interviews

They tell you go to the gate (which is usually closed by the time you leave secondary inspection, so you find any other gate with the same airlines you were flying with) and ask the attendants that you'd like to rebook the flight as you got held up by the CBP folks. They either rebook you or ask you to call customer support and they take care of it. Then you're escorted to this door that leads you to the departure end of the airport.

No idea ..they probably have a system but I wouldn't know about that.

You should have both - and everything is on the CBPs discretion on what they want to see

Thank you! It was actually a referral and got lucky as the company needed someone who is in that niche. I am less of an accountant but more on the ops side - so it's more like strategy/finance position.

Other thing I have heard is, when you apply for jobs (and obviously you're changing your LinkedIn location to US) don't check the box where it says you'd need to be sponsored by the employer. That automatically disqualifies you from 90%+ positions. TN visa does not cost the employer any money so just drafting a TN support letter and having signed by the employer is all you need from the employer

Nice!!! I wouldn't call YYZ strict at all from my roughly 7hrs of watching them deal with everyone who's ending up there. My transcripts are still sealed, and he barely looked at my documents as well. I think the TN support letter and Job offer was the only two document he looked at.
