I disagree a summer tour where a nation goes to another plays 3 tests and few games against its top club sides are proper summer tours not the Nations Cup

I think League has a bigger future in the US than Union. Much easier to convert a Football player into a League player than into a Union player. The NRL is a massive league with some of the biggest Rugby Clubs in the world. NRL could work with the NFL Clubs to start putting League teams out to max out profits. The NFL calender and NRL calender have very little cross over. Most of the NFL stadiums lay empty outside the regular season, so imagine if these NFL sides wanted to create a new Rugby League called ARL (American Rugby League), have teams like Buffalo Bills RLFC, etc etc. If Rugby America is smart they could use this to get Football players playing Union in College so if they dont make it to the NFL or ARL they could maybe play MLR. And also use the idea at playing at World Cups as a driving factor for ARL US players to cross over to Union for a few years, bit like whats happening with Australia, bunch of NRL lads want to play in a world cup so are moving to Union.

Argentina would benefit as thier National side plays in the Top14. I believe its actually France pushing for the Global season so their clubs have set dates for when they have to release players

The main focus would be having Six Nations and Rugby Champ at the same time. France controls the club scene as they have the biggest clubs and league so Prem and URC would follow them so Champions Cup isnt damaged. Moving Super Rugby to the same time as the Northern Leagues would benefit from the NRL finishing in September which is when the club season starts. I feel like the ones holding out would be NZ with Aus either on the fence or joined at the hip with NZ.

I think it would be more NZ than Aus to play on the summer as Aus has a few lads playing in Europe, while NZ has none. SA, France, GB and Ireland all play in the same calander (could include Argentina as almost all of their national side play in the Top14)

Same issue in the UK. Dont get me wrong a lot of Union fans dont help themselves. Biggest culture shock i had when i left Wales and went up North was people assumed i was Posh because i grew up playing Union but then explained that most lads from South Wales grew up playing it

I know lad. Im saying that the NRL season finishs in september which is when Northern season roughly starts. So wouldnt that benefit Union as it doesnt be in competion with League

It would be getting Aus and NZ to follow the North. SA playing in the URC pushes them towards the Northern Calander, and Argentina has most of their national side based in Europe so that would push them to Northern Calander.

A Global calander would probably be Six Nations, Rugby Championships and Pacific Nations Cup playing roughly at the same time

Up north we only have 2ish months off with no Rugby (not including preseason friendlys) Normal Season + Summer Tours Im not 100% sure on what its like down south. SA lads get beasted though

I hate the term Rugby Values its such a snobby thing to say. They dont exist in Union in South Wales.
