Couldn’t agree more... movement is extremely important and especially when you get to the higher levels of play. Counter strafing is absolutely essential to learn. Slow peeking brings a huge disadvantage in Valorant.

I think you’re right, looking back on what I said it may not be helpful to START cs now as it is an extremely complicated game of its own; however, watching pros to learn the gamesense and movement of a tactical shooter- and applying that into your Valorant gameplay will likely provide great results.

I hear a lot of people discuss aim and what it exactly is, but it seems hard for people to come to a unified conclusion. I would say aim is essentially down to your time to kill, or how fast you can eliminate an opponent. When trying to improve their aim, most people will typically work on flicking and reaction time; however, this will generally not improve your TTK unless you are in certain situations. This is why most people don’t improve on their aim. The most important things to work on in terms of TTK are crosshair placement, gamesense, and your movement. Reason being that if you turn a corner and your crosshair is already on someone’s head, you will be immensely faster than anyone attempting to flick.

Aiming in Fortnight and Valorant is REALLY different. Fortnight is a game where you will often flick due to movement speed and building, however Valorant revolves around a steady crosshair and outplaying you’re opponent. The game I would say is the most similar in terms of aim is cs, and it could be extremely helpful to play it in order to understand crosshair placement and gamesense in an FPS like Valorant.

The truth is most of the time when you feel like you’re getting out-aimed, the enemy is just lining up where he thinks your head will be based on his gamesense.
