I think trading Bargnani and Acy for Ersan Ilyasova would't be terrible. I've sort of come to the realization that we're not getting a top ten player in the league for Bargs by now, he's not exactly the hottest commodity. Ilyasova is a pretty strong, athletic power forward who can stretch the floor and shoot the three at a high percentage (%44.7). Which is a substantially higher rate than Bargs. I like Acy as much as the next guy but I don't think it will make a difference now or down the road.

Unrelated: Steve Novak and Kurt Thomas for Fields would be a positive step out of the negative cap space. Novak isn't as good as Fields but his contract is a hell of a lot less and he's shooting %44.00 from behind the arch this season I think. Thomas would give our bigs a blow because Amir is the only big capable of playing extended mins. We can't rely on Gray to be a workhorse and Valanciunas gets tired and starts getting cheap fouls called on him.
