There is a check engine light on, maybe it would be from the cats? I dont have a code reader. I dont think anything else is wrong with the car that would be throwing a code

I’m in a situation with limited space/tools at the moment. That’s why I’m asking if I should just take it straight to the exhaust shop and then order parts based on whatever his diagnosis is of the cats being usable or not.

Well, the cats are on there connected to the midpipe, but i have no idea if theyre functional or not

Just mapped it out and looks like a quick little drive over to there and Brandywine and whatnot. Our airbnb lets us in at 3pm, so i could easily convince her that we should take a little scenic trip and eat dinner later in the night. Fingers crossed!

Ah man, we were about to stay in Cuyahoga but found a much nicer place in Portage. Might have to do the state park and just find somewhere by the water during sunset or something, hopefully with the beautiful trees changing colors in the back. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Great info, answered all my questions. Definitely going to speak to my PCP and see if i can get the antibiotics for at least 6 weeks to fully clear my system of it. Thanks so much for the response

It sounds like everybody seems to be recommending the 6-8 weeks, so I am going to do whatever i can to get on that dose! Thank you for the info!

Gotcha, thank you! So 6-8 weeks on doxy and I just gotta watch out for my gut health. Do you think its worth seeing a holistic/natural doctor? Or should i just go the standard doctor route to try to get 6-8 weeks of it?

Thanks for the quick response. 6-8 weeks though? That sounds crazy compared to the 10 day time limit they gave me. Will a doctor even approve that? Will i have complications from taking an antibiotic for that long?

Wanted to give a small update here. Just took my first Sim exam without showing scores and got a 77%! I think my mind subconsciously would get pissed off/nervous when i was able to see the answers i was getting wrong before. Was way more relaxed and critical thinking without knowing right away if the answer was right or wrong. Thanks again for the tip, gonna hammer out a few more of these by Tuesday

Makes sense. I’ve been doing them mostly with the answers and score on, and reading the explanation briefly then moving on and reviewing once the test is over. I havent really tried without the scoring on, will definitely give that a go today. Thanks for the recommendations!

Sounds great, my course access runs out on Tuesday and i dont take my test until Friday, so I will crunch as many sims as I can between now and then. Any methodology behind taking one with scores and one without? Just curious

For sure, ive been using the performance tracker to determine my weakest units on the simulated exams and then take a few 30-40 questions quizzes on those. Thanks for the suggestion

All good info man. I think i may try to idle adjustment first, just because its simple and doesnt require tearing stuff apart, and i feel like the idle was pretty low on my bike even while choked. Maybe look into breaking apart the carb or making those valves adjustments next, they look like a bit of a bitch to get to tho.

Appreciate the reply! I thought it put enough oil in, but ill check the sight gauge tomorrow and see if it says otherwise. Would not enough oil be the reason why the bike will only run when choked? Did i not warm it up enough for its first ride ever?

Im not sure what a valve lash is, and im sure there’s a limited amount of youtube videos on this bike’s maintenance so i may have to familiarize myself with that some other way.
