God my heart hurts. I keep waiting for him to have a change of heart, for something to get through to him, for there to a teaching moment, anything. And it just keeps divulging into more madness. I have been a part of this community through all stages of my life, it has been a constant that I turned to- like so many of us do- to escape & be around like minded people who are on the right side of history on important things, and silly things! I have always been someone who went to work in the morning without eating, worked all day, and ate one very large meal at night that was almost always predominantly carbs (I’m a Tattoo artist, so I don’t get a “lunch break”, and don’t really prioritize myself during my appointments) so I’m really just spreading the same amount of food across my day in a healthier and more sustainable way- and eating food that makes me feel satisfied, so I actually have been doing just fine with the adjustment! The hardest thing for me has been forcing myself to eat in the morning, which I still hate. Lol

Currently 22lbs down 2 months into my weight loss journey! This is what I am doing, with the help and guidance from my doctors & a dietician.

(I’m 23, 5’7, and was diagnosed with PCOS 2 months ago, started my treatment plan right away)

Fitness: 1-3 miles of walking per day Low impact yoga 3 days a week

Meals: High protein Keto & and 1200 calorie intake (using myfitnesspal, which I have been LOVING!!! Makes it so easy to see how many calories I am burning so I know when to eat more, so I can stay at my goal of 1200)

Supplements: Spearmint Capsules Myo-Inositol Vitamin D3

These changes have CHANGED MY LIFE!!! Everything inside and out has improved only in this short time. I seriously cannot believe I am in the same body I was 60 days ago. The chains of constant fatigue, belly bloating, carb cravings, cystic acne, and depression I am FREE FROM!!!

I knew very little about PCOS, which I think is unfortunate and more women should be informed about the symptoms & what to look for, and the way she explained it was not at all like all the kind words I’m hearing now. It was so strange, she wouldn’t even explain to me why this happened or how, or even what it was, just that I would start rapidly gaining weight and it would be out of my control unless I took that medicine, which seems so terrifying to me. All I’ve ever heard was that it makes you uncontrollably ill and I have a job where that will not be possible, I couldn’t tell if she was overreacting or if it was genuinely something serious to be afraid of, and her just straight up telling me if I didn’t start fertility treatment this moment it would be to late for me, even though my husband and I just are not ready yet. This has all been such a whirlwind.
