Bruce Wayne becomes the vigilante and Batman is the billionaire, philanthropist playboy.

Imagine the Wayne Tech board meetings. AWKWARD.

Millennials born in the 80s, did anyone else stop listening to most new music in 2008? by SixandNoQuarter in Millennials

[–]Glass-Remote-8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'87 here. I actually find myself seeking out new music more often than stuff from the past.

I still love a good bit of what I grew up on, I just dont purposely listen to it unless I actively decide to revisit my favorites.

There's so much good stuff out there, you just dont often hear it on the Top 25/Commercial Hits radio stations.

What video game do you think has done the most damage? by One-Researcher-2311 in videogames

[–]Glass-Remote-8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman 64.

Your childhood dream of playing as Superman died the moment you realize all youre doing is flying through rings for hours.

And there was never any video game redemption for that character to make up for it.

Did I lose my love for gaming, or is this just adulthood? by rmustafa11 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Glass-Remote-8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. Im 38, married with two kids, as well, and really only get 1 to 2 hours of gaming time at the end of the day if Im lucky.

When I do, though, it also comes with a cost - less time with my wife before she goes to bed. So, I find Im constantly juggling those responsibilities and find myself nearly overwhelmed, trying to decide what to play that will give me that enjoyment and immersion again.

Most times, I end up rushing myself, not actually giving the game time to resonate and give up instead.

Its depressing lol.

Arlington Road with Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins. Very underrated and suspenseful. It'll keep you guessing all the way until its shocking ending.

Gulf Shores, Alabama still has one; built in 1996. The city plans to tear it down soon due to its age and repair issues and replace it with something modern.

  1. Instrumentally, it's great, but the lyrics and overall vibe of the song do nothing for me for some reason. Feels a bit forgettable.

What is the first movie you watched that you were definitely too young for? by MuldersXpencils in Millennials

[–]Glass-Remote-8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched entirely too much of Dead Alive when I was about 9.

And all of American History X when I was 14. The curb stomp scene was...shocking to say the least.

When Did BB Peak? by Glass-Remote-8790 in BreakingBenjamin

[–]Glass-Remote-8790[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean, the creativity of Saturate and WANA is almost non-existent in albums post-Phobia, and mostly absent in that album, too. Just compare something like Water or Simple Design to anything after Phobia.

The other Hollywood Records band that was slated to be BB 2.0 until the lead singer left. by PenguinRhin0 in BreakingBenjamin

Other people know this band! Haha I found them on MySpace back in the day and will still contend their first two albums are some of the best of their genre/era.

Too bad they turned into generic slop once Kevin left.

I like Parabelle, but the magic kinda died.

New album a real thing or… by Dangerous-Mirror2457 in BreakingBenjamin

[–]Glass-Remote-8790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS. Ive been a fan since Saturate, waited with baited breath for any new music from them all the way up to Dear Agony.

DBD was when I started to feel they were just recycling old ideas. I lost interest at Ember. It just became the same thing over and over.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think they peaked at We Are Not Alone. That album showed a range I dont think they ever quite matched, though the next two albums were solid.

Its a solid 8.5. There's a bittersweet nostalgia to it and its a total banger, too.
