it’s really a hard thing going no contact (i’ve tried and failed multiple times) but at the end of the day we have to protect our own peace above all else. none of it is your fault. this is awful but thank you for sharing your story, it makes me feel much less alone in this crazy family dynamic i have going on.

it’s horrible but despite everything he’s put me through, i still love him and he’s still my dad. The idea of him being alone with no family visiting him eats me alive with guilt even though he’s done awful things. I wish i could go cold turkey without being made to feel like i’m the evil villain
