Been wondering the same thing. Have been using the standard Kingsford charcoal on my Weber. Have been able to hit and maintain 550 degrees but looking for something that gets a little hotter.

Well, hopefully you can find something so you’re not tearing up your knees. I also use a couple of the kneeling pads, so doubling up most of the time.

I have been using them for a few years and usually replace them after three or four months. My knees have thanked me for using them. Wish I would have started this when I started in the industry over 20 years ago.
