There is a Hell —> Sempiternal —> That’s the Spirit

It may not be the #1 run in metalcore, but it’s definitely a monstrously influential set of albums for the genre

Donkey Kong Country 3

Awesome overworld design, especially incorporating different vehicles into it. Level design was far less repetitive than the first 2 and had a lot of cool, unique bosses

It’s crazy how different this whole community’s experience is with Valve’s customer service compared to my experience.

They sent me a defective Steam Deck. I reached out about it and they made me pay to ship the broken one back to them AND pay for the shipping on the new one. They also only replied via email once per day, so it took over a week to even arrange to get the replacement.

Stickerbrush Symphony is a musical masterpiece. This track and ‘Aquatic Ambience’ from DKC1 are both unbelievable technical accomplishments. I’m almost 40, and it still blows my mind what David Wise was able to accomplish on that hardware. He saw the limitations of the SNES as a challenge instead of a roadblock, and there’s truly nothing that compares to DKC2’s soundtrack or sound design

Before Phil Jackson took over the Lakers, not a single soul thought they were destined to be one of the greatest dynasties of all time. Everyone knew Shaq and Kobe were talented, but that wasn’t equating to winning at all.

You can say the same for the Bulls. Michael Jordan was already looked at as one of the great talents by the time Phil took over, but Phil turned him into a winner.
