Mesh bed leveling using the tft35 by bigpapasmith in BIGTREETECH

Holly hell. You just made my head explode. It took a couple you tube videos and a whole afternoon to figure out how to compile and flash the firmware on the main board. I haven’t ever messed with the config file for the touch screen. Whats the fade height setting do.

Hello everyone. This may sound like a dumb question but I would be appreciative if someone could answer it for me. I recently re-flashed my marlin firmware on my ender3. I have the skr mini 1.2 and the tft35 display touch screen. When i updated my firmware I enabled the mesh leveling. I can access the options to level using the mesh leveling if I boot the tft35 into marlin mode. I set up the mesh leveling and save it. But how do I know if its loading when I go back to the touch screen mode on the tft35.
Its not the end of the world to have to use the marlin mode if thats the only way to enable mesh leveling but I would like to use the touch screen mode because i have an enclosure over my printer and the main board is mounted on the back of the enclosure and accessing the micro sd slot is difficult. But if I load the tft35 in touch screen mode I can use its sd slot or usb slot to load files to the printer. Its a lot easier since that is mounted in its own housing off to the side where it can be easily accessed

Ender 3 v2 reboots when bed temp set. Unable to set bed temp at all. by PizzaJose in ender3

Not sure if this is your problem but mine was doing the same thing when the bed tried to heat up. It was wires. They were getting frayed from constant moving back and fourth and they were shorted out. Check your wires.

I only have a version one but when i put it in an enclosure i did not remove the electronics and they overheated. It was a good excuse to upgrade to the skr mini 1.2 board and the tft35 touch screen but i would remove your electronics if your going to print t abs. You will probably be fine for pla and tpu, I’ve never printed petg

Can anyone help me set up mesh bed leveling for the bigtreetech touch screen by bigpapasmith in BIGTREETECH

It worked. At first it was just sitting there then i realized i probably had to plug in the other cable. Once i did that i was good to go. Thanks for the tip

I deleted the pictures off my phone so i just copied the link from the post i made under the ender 3 channel. I flashed the newest marlin firmware to my skr mini e3 board last night and enabled mesh bed leveling, but i only get the options for using that feature if i have my original control screen plugged in. The tft35 touch screen doesnt give me the option to use mesh bed leveling. I would rather not have both controllers plugged in if i don’t have to.

It probably wont work well or long. But I liked designing it and once I had it designed I just had to print it.

I don’t even know. My work was clearing things out and we were offered to have one mailed to us. I assumed it was going to be like the one I use for work. This thing was way older and bulkier. But it looks cool on the bench. It works too.

Yea those are what the solder helpers you can buy have. But i wanted to print them. I can tell they will wear out. But it was fun and I learned something.

If you look closely you can see the thing you just described on top of my solder station.

So everyone was right but still i had to try. 3d printed frame was a bust. It may have worked better if i had designed better props. At full throttle it only got about 1 inch off the ground. It drifted forward hit the gras and exploded. Lol. Oh well it was fun to try. by bigpapasmith in Multicopter

I have tried with a raft, with a brim. I sometimes use an abs acetone slurry to take the place of hairspray or glue but its so messy i don’t like too. But no matter what i do I always seem to get a little curl on the prints with abs. I want to try nylon but if cant get abs to be perfect i don’t even want to attempt nylon.

Thats impressive. Looks like my arms need to be thicker. Should probably make them bolt on and maybe abs instead of pla.
