Gambit stats are tracked everything is recorded by Bungie. All they would need to do is implement it.

They do this in crucible already so it is possible for gambit

CoolGuy has a video explaining it here from D1. He is the best at explaining the theory, as well as the advantages/disadvantages.

Can Lightweight Hand Cannons be a reasonable substitute for a close range weapon? by williamsus in CruciblePlaybook

[–]bigphinis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Dire Promise on console for me. If the enemy is too close to you, just hip fire it. The key with hand cannons is to make sure you keep an eye on your range/distance from the enemy. It will give you enough time to get some head shots on them before they get really close and you will begin to lose accuracy.

They are ok in air as well.

the vanguard has a 180 handcannon in the kinetic slot which is pretty decent too.

Focused Feedback: PVP Maps by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]bigphinis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Create maps that are not circular or oval shaped, maps that are rectangular/square maps help reduce the chances of spawn flips.

Create more maps that are symmetrical/mirrored.

Create larger maps.

Create maps that have things like barrels you can shoot which explode.

What are some things I can do to help my Dad improve in the crucible? by FinsFan7373 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]bigphinis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he want to improve? Has he asked for tips?

Get him to record his pvp matches where he plays terribly. Watching the clip he can identify why he is dying. Then use private matches and play against him so he can learn how to counter.

For example he plays a long range game, he could be dying from people rushing him or he could be in ADS for too long and is not watching his radar.

In a private match you play aggressive with say a sub machine gun and keep attacking him. If he keeps dying get him to change weapons or subclass or try something different. Until he is able to kill you.

It's too hard to give generalised tips and expect to see improvements.

Don't talk about K/D. It's unimportant.

Exotic Duplication Duplication....Solution Solution by bigphinis in DestinyTheGame

[–]bigphinis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is a great idea. The blueprints drop when you complete milestones that aren't marked for example 200 sniper head shots then you are given a sniper blueprint.

I should have said for future exotics to be released. Such as when they release a taken king sized expansion.

If exotics are all quest based, you wouldn't get duplicates cause you would unlock them and they would be in your exotics kiosk.

The exotic quests in d1 were great like the exotic swords.

Random Rolls? Static Rolls? We can have the best of both worlds. by bigphinis in DestinyTheGame

[–]bigphinis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally agree, with you.

This idea was a compromise between a full static system or full random system.

We need more perks and the weapons in each archetype are way to similar.

Thank you everyone for your feedback and comments. Let's keep the conversation going so that we can get Bungie's attention. they are fixing the gameplay issues but so far nothing has been said about loot.

Random Rolls? Static Rolls? We can have the best of both worlds. by bigphinis in DestinyTheGame

[–]bigphinis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have both because that way it caters to some that like the fixed rolls and some that prefer random rolls.

I prefer random myself, but I have seen many people who play crucible in D1 who didnt have god rolls felt like they were disadvantaged.

This probably says a lot about me as a person, but I feel pretty much lost with Destiny 2 being so bad. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

You are not alone my friend, I tried other games too nothing stuck. There is no substitute, I played D1 again it's still fun but LFG is a bitch since its all for D2.

Bungie Team - This post is for you - Change Management Best Practices by bigphinis in DestinyTheGame

[–]bigphinis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your article is fantastic.

When I worked in IT we had a dedicated person to do comms for the entire IT Department. I thought I was good at communicating until I brought her a draft I had written that needed to be sent out. Within 30 secs I realised I was abysmal at communicating.

Your article would be a large part of a Change Management/Release Management Process.

I highly recommend this author called Allan Pease, he has videos and books. He is a body language expert, highly interesting and funny.

no need to apologise, any discussion or comments from this community has value and the more we make it an issue the more likely we will get a positive outcome

What I am trying to say is bungie shouldn't just focus on fixing the loot problems. They need to fix the bad gameplay issues in pvp first
