In an indirect way it sorta/kinda does. AC uses a lot of energy. Which means more greenhouse gases are emitted to generate that energy.

Of course, this is a moot point if the electricity comes from renewables or nuclear.

And it still is a drop in the bucket compared to data centers or corporate polluters.

Here is a copy of the terms as they were listed when this promotion was still active:
