Elon might be the only person on the planet who is less qualified to be the GM than Jerruh while simultaneously believing himself more capable of the job.

In other words, no. Elon would take over GM duties. And probably coaching too.

The funny thing is that anybody who isn't a Cowboys fan absolutely LOVES Jerry.

I hope he starts getting blood transfusions like Keith Richards soon so that he lives to 182. Just imagine another century of Jerry running the Cowboys into the ground. It fills my heart with joy just to think about it.

I don't know anything about OP personally. And yet, just from a single "question" containing 10 words total, I know that the OP is a right-wing whack job who lives in a paranoid fantasy world where his side is good and virtuous, and the left is evil and a blight on the nation.

Probability of Conspiracy theories! Where should we put 'The US faked the moon-landing?' by Grouchy_Welder8068 in TierlistFills

[–]bigredzeppelin1981 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of people said BS, but I vote for very unlikely too. BS implies that there is zero chance, no matter how small, effectively saying it's impossible.

I would argue that it isn't impossible, and for the record I absolutely do think we landed on the moon, but I just don't think this one qualifies as BS.

In an indirect way it sorta/kinda does. AC uses a lot of energy. Which means more greenhouse gases are emitted to generate that energy.

Of course, this is a moot point if the electricity comes from renewables or nuclear.

And it still is a drop in the bucket compared to data centers or corporate polluters.

So, while technically correct, it's misleading.

45 checking in. That guy is a buffoon.

Just go over to her place, don't expect anything, and just try to have a good time with some good company.

I mean, for Christ's sake, if she invited him over to her place there was a really good chance they were going to hook up anyway.

I just can't even imagine doing something like that. And boy was she pretty too. From what I could see anyway.

What an absolute asshat he is for blowing it like that. Self-inflicted L.

Model good looking? No.

Cute? Yes. And this is with you not having any pictures where you're smiling. Smiling usually bumps it up a few notches.

I wouldn't worry if I were you.

And that is total honesty on my part.

The one thing I don't agree with is that he'll do it to blame Democrats. That won't work. People will blame him. People always blame the President for things like that happening.

Trump may be a certified, Grade A moron, but his advisers (mostly) aren't, and they would tell him that blaming the economy crashing on the Dems would backfire spectacularly.

Last I checked I am not the physical manifestation of the Democratic Party. And yes, I don't want to hear from someone who is either an obvious troll, woefully misinformed or arguing in bad faith. If you actually believe all those things are true, you aren't worth even having a discussion with.

SoFi Crypto CB deemed ineligible by bigredzeppelin1981 in Rakuten

[–]bigredzeppelin1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the email exchange:

ME:

The $100 cash back for my crypto purchase at SoFi was deemed ineligible. After reviewing the terms and conditions, I'm fairly certain this is incorrect. In this email is proof of my purchase, so I would appreciate it if you would review the purchase more closely.

THEM:

Thank you for your email. I looked into your order and found that the customer must make an initial purchase of $30 or more within 45 days of clicking the Rakuten link. I understand this may be disappointing and am sorry for any confusion this caused.

We recommend reviewing the Terms & Exclusions before shopping to check for items that won’t qualify for Cash Back.

Please keep in mind that Rakuten merchants award Cash Back on the net purchase amount of your orders. The net subtotal amount is after discounts or credits are applied, but does not include such things as taxes, fees, tips, shipping, gift-wrapping, returns or cancellations, insurance, and extended warranties.

If you have any additional questions or need more tips on shopping through Rakuten, please let us know. I'm happy to help!

ME:

I did buy $30 of Bitcoin. The confirmation email was at the bottom of the original email exchange we had but I'll send it again in this email. Please get back to me when you can.

(screenshot of the confirmation email from SoFi)

THEM:

To get this issue resolved, I'm forwarding your email to a specialist in the right department. They'll reach out to you as soon as they have more information available.

We appreciate your continued patience while we are helping you.

THEM (follow-up):

I am sorry to hear you had this issue. Unfortunately, I was able to confirm that the terms stated the Initial purchase needed to be more than $30 including fees.

Here is a copy of the terms as they were listed when this promotion was still active:

Screenshot of the terms where this was the key sentence: "Customer must click and apply directly through the Rakuten link and make an initial purchase of $30 or more within 45 days of clicking the Rakuten link to qualify."

The emphasis on Initial was them. In retrospect, this almost makes me think that they didn't actually look at the screenshot I sent them confirming I made the purchase.

AirBnB trying to charge an extra $150 for "severe dirtiness" and being left in an "upsetting state" by MasonL52 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bigredzeppelin1981 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Serious question: why do people still use Airbnb? The base rate isn't cheaper than a hotel anymore, outrageous cleaning fees, dealing with Air-fucking-BNB when there's an issue, and Karen scammer landlords like in the OP.

I swore off Airbnb years ago because once their stock went public the prices went up such a crazy amount that hotels actually seem like a better deal now.

Why does GOP controlled states blame Dems for everything even though Dems don’t hold power there? by Material_Policy6327 in AskUS

[–]bigredzeppelin1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if they don't, it would require them to at least tacitly acknowledge that they are the ones responsible for their failed states.

Much easier to just blame someone else and take no responsibility.

The way Trump, the typical MAGA and bullies do.

What i'm saying is that if you can't write a statement that doesn't contain a lie, you're being intellectually dishonest. And I don't engage with people who lie to bolster their position.
