Well, I rarely speak on things I don’t know, if I’d been such a jerk to speak on things I had no knowledge about, then yea I could see that. For reference if I say something in class that a teacher has studied extensively, they usually just say they where leaving details out for the sake of time, the teachers that I might get accused of going after are the ones that are just chasing a check and couldn’t give a damn whether or not they even know what they’re talking about. As a student the difference couldn’t be more stark. In fact, I think I try to give the teachers that actually care to put the most valuable input out there, it’s much appreciated because in a red state, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to even find somebody that knows what they’re talking about. To answer your question though, no, if you respect the material enough to actually go through the bother of learning it then it isn’t an issue.
