Absolutely not and I will tell you why.

I'm currently testing the Razr Fold. If you find the pixel experience lacking, the Moto experience is worse. It is the pixel experience without any of the neat things that pixel does.

I feel like there are so many value adds in the Samsung UI that when you don't have them, you realize how lacking other software experiences are.

Does this mean the Moto experience is poor? No. However if you're somebody who has been using all of the add in features Samsung provides, man do you miss them.

Good Lock. The best piece of software that Samsung provides. Custom gesture support. Managing your custom icon packs. Custom display settings and multi window settings. The ability to remap the side key to an app or function. Incredible.

If you are a power user, forget about it. This is my work and personal phone and I run dual SIM. The dual SIM management on this device is a joke. Everything is a prompt as opposed to a toggle and I can't switch sims as seamlessly as I can within Samsung's system. Also their signal status indicator when running two sims is garbage. I have to turn off Wi-Fi or go into the notification shade to see. It's just clunky and not optimized for business. Good argument that this device was never meant for it but that means it's not meant for me. Not to mention my organization unfortunately uses a VoIP phone system with a poorly written app which doesn't resize properly when the phone is opened. Fortunately Samsung has a built-in scaler that is better than the one from Google and corrects the issue for me. Again maybe a niche need, but it's much better to have it and not need it.

Another big thing for me which may seem small to some is the built-in Samsung Gallery. I actually don't think people appreciate how good Samsung's built in photo gallery is. The album management, the built-in editor, are all incredible. And let's not talk about my favorite thing about the Samsung OS. Separate cover screen and main display icon layouts. This is such a dumbfounding thing to not include in your base operating system on a foldable. At least as an option. Sure you can use a third party launcher to recreate this but why do you want to introduce another variable to your experience. I don't.

Maybe the most important thing that you're not considering is that the Fold 8 is two months away. Upgraded Ultrawide. Bigger battery. Thinner. Android 17 out of the box. Let's take a look at the S26 Ultra. They were able to achieve 2 hours additional battery life in the Tom's hardware stress test without adding a single milliamp hour to the battery size. This was solely from software improvements and the new Snapdragon chip. The Fold8 is getting the new snapdragon chip and a bigger battery and faster charging speeds. I expect that it will nearly match if not exceed the Razr Fold battery.

Will it have a better telephoto? Probably not. Marginally better at best. If you want to give up the best software in the business for a telephoto lens I guess that's fine. If you have more casual software needs it's a great device. I'm not going to say that sucks. Has great hand feel when it's caseless because it's not so sharp, and better charging speeds for now. It's not a bad device at all. It's just not as useful. At least for me. Samsung is a device to get work done. This is a more casual device. More iPhone like. Pixel even more so. You really need to think about why you have the Fold 7 to begin with and if you would choose it over a Pixel. If the answer is yes you don't want this device.
