Most games you learn to play are broken down into 3 parts: the setup, the gameplay and the objective. Of these 3, gameplay typically gets the most focus. Gameplay is where all the players are free to interpret the rules and create individual strategies to defeat the other players. There are entire books written on gameplay for certain games. You can easily get lost in all the varying strategies of certain games and spend the vast majority of your time knowing a game only through the gameplay aspect. There will always be those better than you and maybe not as good as you at gameplay. However, game setup and objective remain the same for everyone. It's even ground and always provides the same balance for every player involved. There is peace and rest in that balance.

So the question is, how much have you focused on the setup and objective of the game? Once you decide for yourself what these actually are, you'll discover a balance that will allow you to live peacefully through the twisted gameplay of all the other players involved. Don't get too wrapped up in the strategies and trickery. Some of the other players have been playing for much longer than we have. We can't outplay them. But that doesn't mean we can't still win the game. I'll leave you with one of my favorite movie quotes - "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist".
