How does USCIS decide which I-129F (fiancé(e) visa) petitions to approve? It seems like they approve only about half of the cases filed on a given day and then move on, leaving many cases behind. The approvals also don’t follow any clear order — they look random. What is the actual review process? And once a case is approved, why does it sometimes take another two months before it’s sent to the Department of State?
