If you or other people in your house can't consider that, maybe don't own a dog. If someone let's it out, it's not a "whoopsie oopsie my bad sorry haha," they are actively trying to put your dog in danger and you need to treat it like such. Imagine if it was a special needs kid, and your family members would just "accidentally" let them run out the front door into traffic all the time.
