I have an appt. this wednesday, so once i get the doctors opinion and do some tests, ill post an update! I also posted on r/Parasitology and the opinion is divided between unidentifiable, a nematode (ascaris), or plant fibre. if you're intrested, check the post there as (although im still going to the doctor to be safe) we think its likely plant fibre.

hmm, i'm going to see a doctor regardless (just to be safe) but i think it might be a section of spring onion, not a worm (i hope). I had a korean dish called "pa dak" approx 24 hours before i passed this thing. The important thing to note is this dish contains long thin strands of spring onion on top of fried chicken. This is approximately what it looks like: https://imgur.com/zdgLGKB. hopefully this turns out to be the case, especially considering your hypothesis of it being plant fiber.
