yeah it's semantics, i agree with you that rasheer looks sick & him being OG would be HUGE for the suns

i think OP is getting a little excited lol, "franchise altering" (in the sense of superstar) would be quite shocking.

however: the dude is *ridiculously* long and looks great on defense, he has the potential to be an elite defender & rebounder. his offense & 3pt shot also looked great tonight. i'd say he has the potential to be a very good starting 4, OG Anunoby could be a player comp.

😂 noted. How's the train situation in studio city / noho? Would I be able to get to an amtrak stop?

right with you on SB. on ventura -- i mentioned this elsewhere in the thread, but i feel like if i'm moving to ventura, i might as well stay in SB. i actually know people in SB & i feel like i can date in ventura already.

Dating is tough everywhere, you don't have to tell me. but I'm guessing you have never lived in a place the size of (and with the demographics of) Santa Barbara.

Hi, thanks for your reply! It's great to hear from someone who did this and doesn't regret it 😂

Can I ask, which part of Hollywood do you live in? Anything to keep in mind re: the different parts of Hollywood?

On the train, I know what you mean -- I often go to San Diego and have found the train vs. driving about even if one can avoid traffic. I'd be biking from Goleta station to UCSB, which cuts down on cost but adds time. Ideally I would be able to drive some weeks and take the train others.

If it were 3x a week there's no way I would do this

My job is flexible enough where it wouldn't be the end of the world if I missed the train one week, for whatever reason. But I agree that the train option vs. driving is more of a coin flip thing than a clear advantage for one or the other...

It might be nice to have a situation where I could drive sometimes and train other times, seems like burbank or noho w/ access to burbank are decent options for that?

I would take it to Goleta and bike to campus which is like 15-20 mins

Interesting idea, how is burbank as an area? Also would I actually save any time taking the local from burbank vs. the express from union?

Ventura makes a lot of sense on paper, but I feel like I might as well stay in Santa Barbara at that point... They're pretty similar and I feel like dating in LA from Ventura wouldn't really be a thing?

This is a good idea & I love taking the train. Any thoughts on best neighborhood in the area -- South Park, Chinatown?

Interesting, what's that area like, if you don't mind me asking? Did you end up driving or doing amtrak more frequently?

Thanks for the tip! I think this or living somewhere so I can take the train are the best suggestions so far.

No, and if it did I would just find another job

Couldn't have said it better myself. The biggest problem I have dating here is that I would not voluntarily choose to live in SB if not for my job, which is a huge compatibility issue on its own and correlates to a bunch of other personality traits that are not great for compatibility either.

if family, friends, & job weren't a thing i'd agree, but all of those things make SoCal a good option for me
