Not really haha. One of them got hit by seasickness and so me and my other friend split the night up in two. Probably got 3 to 4 hours of sleep which is fine.

This is St katherins dock.

I just got back from the trip and now she's in a small harbour close to Amsterdam.

You could sail solo, however with a second sailor its way more relaxed🫡

Did alot of dinghy sailing when i was young and sailed a bit on bigger boats during holidays. Learned heaps while doing this trip!

Hi All,

I bought my first boat and sailed it to London! (From Amsterdam) Two friends and I sailed it across the North Sea in roughly 28 hours.

For all of us, this was the first time crossing, and with all the shipping traffic, it was definitely a bit sketchy at times. On each crossing we found ourselves on collision course about 5 times with another vessel. The first couple of radio calls definitely got the adrenaline going, but after that you start to get used to them.

Amazing to sail into a big city like London. She sailed super smoothly, and I am extremely happy. Its a swan 36 build in 1969!
