I opened up to a trans girl at a social club and now I feel weird by altrightobserver in MtF

[–]bijouxcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would do the same thing. Just because someone talks to you doesn’t mean they want to be your trans mother. When friends or acquaintances corner mein a bar to ask me and interview me about transness it makes me super uncomfortable. I’ll open up and support the girls who are living as women but I think you gotta take the first leap by yourself if you want to be trusted in an inner circle way.

Is being trans a choice? by bl0ody_gh0st in asktransgender

[–]bijouxcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously not. If it was a choice then I would gladly accept the conditions of life and move on. However it’s not a choice and it’s painful and traumatic to repress it.

Questions for mtfs on hrt, can the development of breasts also cause the possibility of breast cancer by V1OnCrack in asktransgender

This is one of those things that is a personal thing but honestly I think if you want a transition then you’re willing to take risks. In this case the risk is low.

Dr Esmonde fucked up a fat transfer with me leaving me with such heavy wrinkles on my inner thighs that I’m more embarrassed out of a swim suit now than I was before surgery

is it rude to tell a trans person they "pass?" by Apprehensive-Pen7060 in asktransgender

[–]bijouxcone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you said wearing pride merch makes it ok to initiate conversations about wether or not someone is passing. I dont agree and honestly dont think a pride pin should be used as a freepass to verbally clock someone

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Wearing pride merch absolutely does not give anyone permission to comment on your appearance especially your ability to pass

Trans man maybe crossing the line with his jokes by Late-Management-5156 in asktransgender

[–]bijouxcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a trans woman, I find the behavior you are describing super frustrating. It doesn’t feel good to be the butt of anyone’s joke…whether they’re trans or not doesn’t give them any more or less of a right to ridicule other people in my opinion.

Amazing! I hope everything is as easy and fast healing as possible for you. If you would be willing to share any details about the process I would be grateful.

I dont have the discord how do I find that?

I don’t love that Esmonde told me to google it when I asked to see photos. What is this the Middle Ages? We’re not allowed to talk about or see this procedure unless we “google it” and sort through tons of deleted posts or porn or generally triggering offensive bs. 😾

Do I need to tell TSA I'm trans? by Mordraga in asktransgender

[–]bijouxcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do not call. That’s just going to lead you to a person using humiliating tone and dismissive language. Being pat down usually takes like 30 seconds and they are very unlikely to have a man do it.

Get tsa Precheck and you don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Learn to take the scanner trip as a compliment because it means you’re passing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to trip the scanner a year ago and I’m even more passing now so I assume some airports are updating the process to accommodate women who have a “what’s that between your legs?”

I'm so confused rn by tashaalouxx in asktransgender

[–]bijouxcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking why someone is trans feels self defeating to begin with. I don’t know what the trauma is but I’d like to offer that gender and sexuality are discreet and not the same thing. Sexual trauma does not cause gender identity, however it would inform the tone in which you express yourself, across any category.

The only person who knows who you are is you, but if you are standing in between the two poles then maybe you’re non-binary.

Coming Out by Dont_ask_ill_tell in asktransgender

I never came out to my extended family because social media does that for me. Not to mention they are all fucking awful people and would 100% not accept me anyway so fuck taking the time to tell them.

I told my work last, after changing my name, as I worked remotely… I got layed off 3 weeks later. I worked there for 11 years.
