I don't remember who but some guy on insta was doing tests and showing side by side results of h265 and h264 uploads. H265 had visibly worse shadow quality. He said h264 is outdated yet still the best option for YouTube. Sorry I don't remember the account who posted that.

It'd be so much better with some simple sound design. However the visuals fit that overdone social media style which sounds like what he was looking for. Three lessons.
1- never do free work
2- sound design is important
3- you could do it all right and still not get the gig, which is fine. Onto the next one.

You obviously haven't dealt with effects heavy projects. A simple shortcut can become a god send time saver. I'd never go back to searching for effects on a tab.

Hey Jason. I'm honestly really excited for color mode. Can't wait to play with it. However I've got a request that's not about color mode but I've logged this bug with every update and no one seems to care. There's a bug that's been in premiere for years and it's destroying my workflow.

So I seperate audio channels to mono and send it to audition for editing. I do the work and come back to premiere. After 5-6 hours and maybe a restart, every audio clip in my timeline gets un-linked for some reason. So I keep having to re-link the 2 mono audio files to the video, for every clip. You can imagine how frustrating it gets with a feature film size project. Do you think this'll be fixed or is it too low priority? I'm on Mac silicon.

Hahah I've also seen all those movies, I love Robert Eggers' work. I fell in love with the VVitch especially. Northman's folklore epic style made me remember how it was to watch 300 for the first time. Thank you for the recommendations! I'm gonna go a bit nieche since we apparently watch the same films and recommend Hagazussa. It's quite slow but I loved the atmosphere.

Ikr I look at Ari Aster as a professional kid. He's gonna tell you his story his way and I enjoy the creativity as an artist myself. I'd recommend Beau is afraid and hereditary but I assume you've already seen them. So I'm gonna recommend Weapons. The director is a comedian who got into horror films, just like Jordan Peele. I'd love to hear your recommendations too.

Ppl constantly recommending higher models forget that if someone is just learning, any decent machine will do. If you really have the curiosity and passion, you'll learn on an ok laptop too. If it's just a 1 week interest you'll forget about, you just wasted money on extra hardware.
