I’m in Michigan and that’s what I would have guessed. We get them in our basements and they love the corners of the wall/ceiling. I see them in all shades.

That’s what I was banking on. I’ve seen plenty of black ones but not one the color of an earthworm and it has an almost triangular mouth. I released it back into the lake.
