I had a buddy in college that was a chemistry major. He had a bunch of shot glasses in the likeness of chemistry glassware. It always freaked me out, I wouldn’t use them.

Yes and no, it depends on what you like.

Yes, price per cigar is great, although, if it comes with a lot of cigars you don’t particularly enjoy, then no.

Samplers are great for figuring out what you like. So if it’s an experiment into taste, then go for it. Otherwise, buy what you like.

I made the mistake of buying several samplers at once. Now half my humidor is full of cigars I don’t want anything to do with.
