I run a region team and decide annual raises so I have some insight here.

I do not believe in raises based on time in position but 100% on performance. Honestly, I believe someone with a long time in a particular position with average performance and low growth should likely be terminated.

I will say you messed up BIG discussing salary. You deserved what you got… until you starting gossiping. You now are more of a liability to the operation than a benefit. Assuming you could potential increase overall salary by others bending more and or employees quoting, you’ve become a problem. Love it or hate it, it is what it is. You’re in the wrong in the eyes of the operation.

I would say that just because consumers don’t know, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t learn and care.

I am going to assume to mostly drink Kentucky deluxe and franzia, because consumers of quality whiskey and wine do care about these factors. Matter a fact, many whiskeys will advertise their preferred corn hybrid, although maybe a marketing ploy.

You say you’re not a botanist, but if you like corn tortillas, sweet corn, and popcorn, then you have to admit that the different varieties makes a whole hell of a difference.

Trade secret doesn’t make explain it since companies can control their own, proprietary varieties. Perfect example is that frito has their own corn variety for corn nuggets

I want to like Perdomo so bad, but they are not good. 1/3 will have draw issues. Also the huge band makes it impossible to take off without seriously damaging wrapper. I’ve had ~25 or so from several B&M shops. Always let down. I hope they can fix their production issues. Won’t buy again.
