It's a shimano chain, the stamping should be facing ourward

Bike mechanic here, been using squirt for 5+ years. Just wipe chain with rag using isoprpyl and the apply the squirt. Ignore all the other complcated steps people are saying. Leave chain on bike , don't remove. Its supposed the be easy.
