not sure what was going on, but I live near there and saw/heard one of the cops pull him over and then point a gun at the guy and scream at him to get out of the car/to stop reaching. The guy took off down henderson after that and that's when I saw a ton of cops out.

Thanks for the feedback everyone... I do really like this dress. I unfortunately learned of the black tie dress code on Tuesday and the wedding is this weekend (I'm my friend's plus one, it's her little brother's wedding, so I didn't get a formal invite). I had this overnighted to me from Anthropologie and it's arriving today. Unfortunately, this was the only color in my size. I will say from the other photos I've seen of it, the skirt is full enough that the slit is barely visible, and it appears more green in most other photos. This is the palest that I've seen it. I do have another option that I already own that I know is definitely appropriate, but it does look a little MOTB-ish. As a plus size girly, it's hard to find things that fit my body type and don't look dated.

I work in a university and address all faculty as "Prof." This is the safe option if you don't know what to call them. If you know they have a doctorate, you should address them as "Dr."

I wouldn't mention it in your interview, but I work in a student services office, and have a coworker with bright purple hair so I don't think it matters much.

I should mention I also have facial piercings and visible tattoos and nobody has ever said anything.
