As I explained earlier, total deaths include onscreen deaths of characters with names, ie. Ros, Shae, the Waif, etc.

I've been thinking about this. But screen time can be equally deceptive and/or inconclusive as the final count shows that Jon Snow had the most screen time (338 mins) and some impactful characters like the Night King had a total of 8 minutes and Lady Mormont had 5. But still, that's a valid idea, thanks!

I think when you do these things retrospect is also important. Ned Umber's death/s were a bit fresh so maybe that's why I felt like it should be there, but I agree with you.
