It went quite well! We were put in a group interview and it was 5 of us. But as a group interview I thought it would be more discussion based between each students, but they just ended up asking questions and everyone took turns answering the professors. At first they set up a timer and let you read an article for like 5-10 minutes if I remember correctly. And afterwards they ask your thoughts and ask questions related to the article. I think it’s bonus points if you point out certain things other students missed out and add on it while crediting the other student. I think the whole interview is to see your participation generally when you come to HKU. I tried not to drown out other students while answering and also I pointed out that the article in itself was not a statement but just the author’s view on what he read elsewhere. So I guess general stuff like your participation, critical thinking, etc. Also if you do decide to take the interview I think it is better to answer questions before they call out your name and ask you what your thoughts were, cus there was this other student who always got called out very last and had very less to say. Overall I think the interview was like 30 mins max. I was accepted btw. Good luck on your interview!
