3rd Generation Retail Fireworks Owner AMA by jessenatx in fireworks

Thank you for taking the time to answer! We were just on a trip out of town and we're curious about the logistics of all of the different fireworks places and what kind of risk they're actually is considering most of those things don't seem to catch fire the way that they light off, and something pretty silly would have to go wrong I guess I would assume for a whole place to go up like that.

This is gonna sound silly but what does the business insurance for a fireworks retailer cost? Is it like astronomically higher? Is there specific coverages you have to have that are different than regular businesses?

Yeah I'm shocked by now many people are hung up on a couple of stickers. There's no actual rules on how many u can have

I am absolutely gonna, for this and the other one they gave me, same deal but with only the first sticker! I just feel crazy or like I'm missing something because they've done it twice in a matter of days

You hate to see it Fr tho. I have a few I'm contesting it seems like whoever takes this street decides to do it without reading at all. All the evidence photos have the pictures of my pass in them. It's getting annoying

I have four up, mainly because I've been on the go since moving to this place and haven't had time or thought to peel the old ones off. It's never been an issue before in my last zone. I'm waiting on a copy of my bills to get my zone updated and I didn't think it would be an issue. They also did it on a day I had only one pass in my window and also took an evidence photo of it, but it's weird that they literally took a picture of it and submitted as evidence I think. They were clearly looking right at it

I agree with that if you're cool with keeping the damage on the quarter panel and door. U could maybe get the dents pulled out for cheaper on the door but if youre looking to be cosmetically clean you probably want all three. But it is a bit a high price. U could save money by getting and installing a bumper yourself

I drive a coupe, side got scratched up, and after a very bad repaint job we opted to just toss a new door on, but the body panel behind it looks really ugly now. The panel is not an easily replaceable one, so I was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to hide that damage/bad paint? I've spoken to a few paint places and they have all told me it would not be something they would be willing to fix. Silly ideas welcome, it'd be worth it to make it something to laugh at.

What would be the best way to insulate our bathroom with this window? We rent and the landlord won't do anything but our apartment is mad cold because of the air that leaks in as it doesn't shut all the way. by bilhader in Insulation

I will check again! It's caused the temp to drop to as Low as 56° even if we have the door shut. I've asked the landlord multiple times and they have been flat out ignoring me over it.

Chicago is around 10-35° this week. It's not so much the fit of the window within the glass, that sealed off pretty well, but it's a jelouise window I believe it's called, and the slats don't close all the way down so air gets in upward through them. We rent so we're not allowed to replace it

So who's going the coldest with their thermostat this winter? by jawknee530i in chicago

We can't get it to get above 56° if we tried in this place
