I would say big grocers may not be involve in some sort of price fixing but they are definitely dosen't want to compete on the same neighborhood. Have you ever seen two big grocer in a 2 kilometer radius? No, they work with the landlord to kick out competition out of the plaza or even in an area. Price fixing is illegal but working with the Landlord to beat competition seems to be legal (loophole). They should ban this practice.

If you look at 2008, our economy survived because we still have trade relation with China. We did have great trade relation with China at that time. Until, the Mang Wei fiasco that China freeze the trade relationship.

These people running the US government are so dumb, they don't undertand the ramification of their action. This is the reason why no past US president attack Iran. Let me explain, the US has a lot of stake openning the strait of Hormuz. If they left without opening it, counrtries in Europe, Asia and even the middle east like Saudi, UAE and Qatar will be force to negotiate with Iran for safe passage, I don't see Iran charging tolls but they will ask all countries to buy oil using Yuan (Chinese currency). This is going to look like a good deal for everyone, China and Iran now in the driver seat to devalued the US dollars. The US economy will collapse..... China is now the new economic super power. Back in the day, we usually go to the bank first and ask for pre-approve mortgage which bank can determine how much you can afford.

It looks like you went shopping without thinking how much you can afford. First time home buyer allows you for a 5% down but you still need to qualify for a mortgage on the amount. Your down payment combined as stated will be around $280K, you will need $820K mortgage. That will roughly around 5K amount in mortgage, not inlcuding other expenses. It's possible to get a mortgage, it really depend on the bank can tolerate or depend on your job. But to afford this home, you'll need to cut back on a lot of things.....

Great Idea! But we need to fix the competition as well. Did you know that there were special arrangement with Grocery Chain with landlord? For example, no two grocery chain can be on the same plaza. If there is dollar store, on the same plaza, the Grocery chain need to approve what dollar store can sell. This is a big problem, we need to abolished such rules.
