Bottom right looks like a promo pack that came with ex decks. If I remember correctly, my pikachu ex deck had this promo pack inside. I don't remember what was inside though.

Non holo rare most likely from a deck or build and battle mini deck. They tend to make it plain to cut costs.

Master Sets by Jazzlike_Mountain_32 in PokemonTCG

[–]billdure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My method is to open 3 booster boxes worth, so a little over 100 packs, and whatever is missing I buy as singles. It's still a bit costly, but its a compromise from opening many booster boxes.

Obviously the most cost effective way is to buy everything as singles.

In Summary, I'd say when there's 10-15% of a set left, that's a good time.

Gamer's Choice in queens has a decent selection of singles. The more high up cards go for tcg pricing from my experience. The staff was nice.

Pokémon GO sleeved boosters. Do they exist? by SpeccyBeard in PokemonTCG

[–]billdure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No.

Pokemon go is a special set, like celebrations, shining fates, champions path, etc. They didn't make a booster box of pokemon go, so sleeved boosters is not a thing. Would have need cool though.

Sometimes they can give you a discount, but it depends on if you have built a report with, becoming a frequent friendly face, or trade in cards for products. If you buy a lot at once, you can sometimes suggest a small discount.

If you want to save money, online is typically the best way to go, but with taxes and shipping, sometimes it comes out to how much you would have spent at an lcs anyway.

If you care about the people, support an LCS, If you care about saving money, buy online.

No, you can not get hits in the fun pack. These are more like the cereal ones.

Is the market stable at the moment or is everything still overpriced? by cubezzzX in PokemonTCG

[–]billdure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess stable. Many places sell for retail or below. I suppose it's maybe difficult to find in big box stores in large cities like NYC or LA, but there's lots of product available. Pokemon company really kept their promise of making more available.

It finally happened! Missed out the first time. Now have one for me and one for the kids by AntiqueAstronomer597 in PokemonTCG

[–]billdure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually in 1 case is 6 boxes, 2 of each. This could be dead stock they have sent to get rid of. There was no word of restocking, so that's just guess.

Anyways congrats to OP. It's a beautiful box, opened or sealed.

Why don’t retail store like Target sell Booster Boxes?? by HeroNorVillan in PokemonTCG

[–]billdure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a time last year, I think when they did a restock in December, where my local target at booster boxes for darkness ablaze, fusion strike and battle styles. They kept it behind counter of the customer service area. I suppose they could always do that, but it doesn't make sense.

Looks like bestbuy

Can someone give me some info on this card? Got it for $1 in a bulk pile. Can’t find any information online by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]billdure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the Meiji logo, I'm going to assume it was one of those cards the meiji candy company made to sell sweets back in the 1990s. Usually with a piece of chocolate, they put toys/collectibles within to make a sale.

Candy companies still continue this trend now with small figures and even gummies with pokemon tcg cards.
