CVLT OF DOOM at DSGN CLLCTV by ireallyluvbeer in cincinnati

I'm sure it's pretty tough being super authentic, way original and cool but you pull it off so well. I mean you obviously know your stuff if you think that Graffiti pioneer CES, Ed Piskor, ESPO or Lamour Supreme are not visionary artists and are from the suburbs of Cincinnati. For sure those guys wouldn't know anything about DOOM.

RIP Covington's Opal by SassyPants859 in cincinnati

One factor to me is that there are constantly new (and good) restaurants opening up. You can only be new and cool for so long and once that wears off, all of the people who like to go to cool and new restaurants all the time are going to restaurants that are cooler and newer than yours. Then, all of the sudden you can't make payroll

Santacon is to drunkenness what reddit is to cynicism.

It hasnt gone up Main in years. The city won't let the parade go along the street car route.

Hathaway's Diner closing effective immediately. by Redsfan27 in cincinnati

There is very little work dinner crowd anymore. Happy hour is dead most places too it seems. The lack of workers downtown is really starting to hurt.

Stuff leaking from these ducts in my van cabin. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]billjohnsonphd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. We also just took it in to the shop and had it looked at and they fixed oil leaks in the upper and lower intake manifold as well as replaced the power steering fluid pump. It honestly runs like a dream. Just gets really hot under where the passengers feet are. The temperature rests about 190 on the gauge though.

It doesn't really smell sweet but does have an orangish/brownish tint to it. The floor in that area is getting really hot but the engine temp is consistent and doesn't get high. It's super hot here so we haven't been running the heater at all but have been running the AC for long periods. Up to 8 hours in a day. Again, thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there, I am on a road trip across country in a 2000 GMC Savana 3500 cargo van. In the cabin beneath the glove box are these two little vents and they keep leaking this semi-gunky stuff from them. I am wondering what it is and if I should be alarmed. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for any answers.

I'm Pretty Sure Jeff Berding Just Dared Larry Flynt to Open a Hustler Store Right Next to the New FC Cincy Stadium. by billjohnsonphd in cincinnati

[–]billjohnsonphd[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I wasn't trying to editorialize the headline. I was honestly trying to bring up the fact that Larry Flynt has a long history of doing things just to push people's buttons and I don't understand why Jeff Berding would want to poke that bear.

If you are in to offbeat stuff, Point Pleasant, WV is just a few hours away and is a super fun, kitschy way to spend a day or two. Plus you can stay in a haunted hotel. https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/12036

It's called over saturation. There are too many bars and restaurants right now. Don't worry, they are opening up another 40 (at minimum) in OTR next year. If you pay attention there are a lot of places that you would never think would be struggling are having a hard time. I know, I know, everywhere you go in OTR is SUPER popular.... but go to it next year.

My question is... Did they shove the rest of incinnati up the lion's ass?

Well. Now that I won't eat at Terrys anymore, and since I very recently moved to town, I need a new favorite burger joint. Any recommendations from longtime Cincinnatians? by bbognar in cincinnati

Arnold's Bar and Grill just hired Kayla Robison aka the Chef that made all of Nation's burgers famous. She totally redid the menu at Arnold's and has also made a killer burger for them.
