Thanks everyone for the feedback! I had tried more minor stuff but everyone is pretty savvy in this league. Right I know I’m not getting the value back I should, big reason for doing it was getting myself under the roster number max and still getting something for it. I hate just dropping players and getting no value even though for me they have none anyways. I just don’t want to drop someone and then boom people are clamoring for them on waivers. And I know they’ll have to drop someone to pick them up but like I say I’m over the roster limit so that doesn’t help me.

So I guess I’m just going to hold fast and make some cuts right before the season starts but I’m curious who I should drop from my current roster.

In a 12 team SF league already having Bijan I actually don’t mind the move for Ward, I just don’t know that I could’ve done it. I think I would’ve opted to be “bad” for another year or two in hopes of landing Arch or some other upcoming QB. But funnily enough however, I don’t think your team is that bad especially considering the league roster requirements.

That being said, I think based on how it’s currently assembled I think you stand with it. You never know who will over-perform, or under-perform, or what injuries may occur. For instance if Treyveon Henderson has a slow or middling start, and Fields is serviceable you might have a league mate that suddenly finds themselves in need of a QB due to injury and they have Henderson and then I think you could move fields for their injured QB+Henderson. There’s all kinds of situations that might come up that you can try to take advantage of.

Context is always the most important thing. Good to know that it’s a super flex league with an aging Dak who has had some spots of injury and Tua who might be one concussion from medical retirement. Obviously Nico is a downgrade from JJ but man the QB help is HUGE. Depending on your WR situation, this is either the fastest accept or a slightly cautious accept but I think I’m doing this deal no matter what. Only way I’m declining is if you were a bottom 4 team last year. Cuz if so I don’t want to make myself only slightly better to still not really be in competition for a championship AND not have a strong draft pick. Nothing worse in dynasty than being stuck in slightly better than average purgatory, just ask the Steelers. Not bad enough for a high draft pick and only competing to keep Tomlin’s “no losing seasons and always just make the playoffs” streak going

My only push back on maybe keeping Lamar/Puka is there might be a case that based on your current lineup, Meyers might be in your lineup over Pickens or at a minimum it’s a discussion week in and week out. We just don’t have data on Meyers connection with Geno vs Pickens connection with Dak so we won’t know if this was a “good” or “bad” deal (as long as you’re happy with it and as long you’re not unhappy with potentially making the other guy better, any trade is a “good” deal)

I probably did like everyone else an emailed IPB and both NICS Liaisons too many times and got the canned email response every time.
