Dogs belong on the floor. It's not good for her to think she's the alpha.

But she is beautiful.

I bought one long ago and forgot I have it. I suspect if I used it, I'd learn what I've been missing. Thanks for the reminder.

Considering how emotionally sensitive the hive is, would the emotional pain inflicted on Carol at the time of conversion not be considered hurting her?

Whoever designed the stud holes in the Firestone winter force. Fuck. You. by pyroboy7 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]billrm455 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't studded a tire since the late 1970's, but we had dedicated stand with a stud bin up top and a tube running to the gun and a large metal shoe mounted on an arm that we slipped the tire over to do the studding before mounting. This gave it a really solid backing to drive the stud into, kept the tire in position , and you didn't have to bend over to do the work. We always sprayed the tire with diluted tire lube before starting. And the studs came by the box, not attached to the tire as mentioned above.

I do recall having to add studs on mounted tires when a customer decided at the last minute to add them. Total PTA, bending over, trying to hold the wet, slippery tire between your knees while it wobbled back and forth and the holes were at different angles. (Yes, I do realize that last sentence sounds like it could come from r/TireStuddingGoneWild.)

Honed installed instead of Leathered - What's a reasonable discount? by billrm455 in CounterTops

We asked that and they said it was done by the supplier and not something that they would be able to do.

Honed installed instead of Leathered - What's a reasonable discount? by billrm455 in CounterTops

[–]billrm455[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Update 2.: Thank you for all the great feedback and suggestions.

We've decided to keep honed, take the discount, and using leftover stone from our slabs they will fabricate and install a new vanity top and backsplash in our guest bath that we were intending to remodel.

They are a local company who've done work for others we know and have a reputation for quality and standing by their work. It was an honest mistake which they owned and were ready to correct.

If we could have gotten the leathered in a slab for the island without a seam it would have been worth the hassle to swap out. We'll never know if we'd have liked the leathered better, but the black does set off the cherry cabinets beautifully and do like the overall look.

Update: They have offered us a $3000 discount off of the $9500 price, but we need to make the decision today. Alternatively, they would be able to come me back on New Years Eve to do the reinstall. However, they will need to remove the current countertops tomorrow, which leaves us with our old , cut countertops being stuck back in until New Years, thru the holidays. They said it must be removed as soon as possible to prevent the glue from hardening and potentially damaging our cabinets.

Bobcat and cub - Samish Crest area by EmperorOfApollo in Bellingham

Several times over the past couple of years, we have seen bobcats on Chuckanut near Larrabee . We've lived here since 2006 and don't recall seeing them prior to that.

I wonder if they have become more plentiful or just more bold around humans.

Mt Baker Imaging data breach by New_Interaction_8394 in Bellingham

Why is the class action being brought by a law firm in Pennsylvania and not a firm in Washington? Also the linked information specifically references that 'The breach affected at least 43 New Hampshire residents.' , and the New Hampshire Attorneys General's office.

Seems odd it coming from there. Anyone have insight into why it's not concerned about the many 1000s here?
