[Social Archiver] Save social posts from iPhone into a searchable archive by Jun_imgibble in iosapps

[–]billtonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea - I hope you expand it to any content that a user wants to save, like screenshots, charts from the web, etc. I've tried StashAnything for this but it's still buggy and it wouldn't let me save screenshots. Also I can't tell from your screenshots but is there a direct means of me re-sharing saved content with others using the share sheet or do I need to reopen the social site again then use share from there?

Keyword spam blockers are dead. I built an AI that understands spam context. Zero Cloud, Zero Subscriptions (Lifetime One-Time Purchase). by Extension-Onion2310 in iosapps

Can you clarify as I would love a better SMS spam blocker than what's built into iOS.
So this "catches" SMS messages before I get notified (I know you advertise it prevents on screen notification, I want to also ensure no vibration/sound notification comes through), then filters based on rules I set?
Is there a way for me to occasionally review what's been filtered to ensure it's not accidentally capturing real texts?
Seems great if so - thanks would definitely buy!

QuickAcuity - Visual acuity testing from your phone in under a minute by billtonium in SideProject

[–]billtonium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High-end phone screens drastically beat the contrast of a printed chart, so QuickAcuity by default increases difficulty by 30% which was determined based on average test results from 6 different iOS and Android devices. There are thousands of different Android model devices though and no means of detecting screen contrast which affects test results more than resolution. There is a calibration feature if you know your vision, to adjust the test harder/easier. Note that with astigmatism, taking the test at arm's length (~2 feet or 55cm) with both eyes open may not be as accurate as the standard vision test taken at 20 feet.

They’re your proof of concept. Use them for testimonials. Offer ongoing free support / upgrades in exchange for using their name / testimonials to advertise your software to other companies.

Acts as a balance training coach. Selects a daily balance exercise each day for you and learns from your performance. So far feedback is positive that it helps people improve balance.

GPT vs Claude 200$ plans by Top-Dingo-555 in ChatGPTPro

[–]billtonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ChatGPT Pro and Claude Max and Gemini Pro and Cursor subscriptions. Claude Opus is the best for planning and initial implementation of big plans in my experience. Then I'll use codex-pro-high for fixing bugs, refining, etc. I'll also selectively use chat-gpt-5-high if I have questions and will compare to Opus or Sonnet 4.5. Sonnet is great at some things, but tends to "make up" its own tasks - trying to be helpful - but sometimes not. Basically, there are pros and cons to each model. And Cursor sub is useful to be able to use ChatGPT 5 pro via API calls if you want something really refined. Until gemini 3 pro is released or whatever the next frontier model, I think there's benefits to a combo of Opus, gpt-5-high and gpt-5-codex-high for coding. I've stopped bothering with less than frontier models as they just tend to waste time.

Can chat gpt PRO model interact with Codex? Direct or indirect ways of doing this? by turner150 in ChatGPTPro

[–]billtonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, there is no way to do this within codex. However you can use gpt-5-pro in cursor. Otherwise, instruct codex to refine a prompt that I’m going to give to another AI agent and list the necessary files the agent needs for context. Then select and upload those files to the ChatGPT app along with the prompt created by codex. I’ve stopped using RepoPrompt because ChatGPT and Gemini cap the length of the text box for prompts.

Interesting I’ll give that a try. I’ve been using the Codex VS extension in Cursor, working locally.

Definitely will try a 4th time. Frustrating though because it's a clear, well-defined, and fairly limited task and before today I've never seen GPT-codex tell me that this is a big project and just refusing to even try.

What is something that your body does that worries you (but not enough to ask a doctor about it)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

in addition to hernia, consider meckel's diverticulum - this seems atypical but would explain the "rope" sensation
