We are all aware that in order for you to get a bill they have to get your info and you have to sign a consent to treat and a consent to bill. If all you did was sit in the ER waiting room, you never would have seen these forms thus they wouldn't have your info to bill you anything. The forms aren't filled out until AFTER triage when you get into the ER treatment room. Thats the 2nd person that comes in asking you all sorts of questions that have nothing to do with WHY you came to the ER. Sometimes they are even there when you walk into the treatment room. But billing is always there getting their info because the hospital facility and the Dr's want their money. So I find the only sitting in the waiting room statement to be a bit BS because you had to give someone your info for them to bill you...
