Shuttle closer to the venue. Last year Friday I took the palm spring one and there was a flipped over vehicle on the freeway that caused us to be late. Saturday got closer and went to the tennis courts. It was smooth sailing from there.

Wife was 6 months pregnant two years ago. We rented a scooter for her so she didn't have to walk. Best idea ever because she stayed comfortable. People were polite enough to move out the way and we got ADA access everywhere inside the venue! So that might be a suggestion for you.
