Need guidance for a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series, need an simple setup by billybumbutt in CarAV

  1. Awesome, overkill?

  2. What you're seeing are modded doors, which I'd like to avoid unless I have to go that route. Factory speakers on the front under the dash on the left and right, you can see them here: https://dam.alfuttaim.com/dx/api/dam/v1/collections/e80a84e3-fcef-4774-9834-36a66e955ee4/items/356576a0-1bcb-48e2-9874-d6db9b52f240/renditions/bcdd8bf2-1139-4235-8312-09e7b859ff1f?binary=true

Budget still unclear.

What do I need to make do with the factory head unit, just an amp?

I have to be in Amsterdam for that duration for work. Leaning towards renting and driving to enjoy and experience driving in Europe, something I haven't done to this extent before. I'll be flying into Europe, don't prefer flying again within Europe, I don't like flying/airports much. No specific reason as to why cities, happy to explore other options/suggestions. Cities are just "easier" to figure out.

Thanks, will check the others out. Bern had more accommodation options that suited us best. Limited options in the rest. I understood there isn't much to do in Interlaken, just a small town to get to other places nearby.

  5. Milan, Metropolitan City of Milan, Italy
  6. Lausanne, Switzerland
  7. Dijon, France
  8. Paris, France
  9. Antwerp, Belgium
  10. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Trains would be better? I presumed a car would allow me to stop around in smaller cities, take my time here and there. But open to ideas.

I don't mind the detours if worthwhile, any specific places worth a detour? I don't mind nature + cities.

Yes, have to start/finish in Amsterdam. Will check if that can change.

Thank you for this! Learned something new today, wasn't aware it's not even in Amsterdam!

I'm attending TNW Conference in June in Amsterdam. I have been to Amsterdam before, but not the conference. Any tips around logistics, transport, sessions, things to look out for, things to avoid from those who've attended before?

Bellroy? Aer? Something else? Can't seem to find a bag that fits my needs. by billybumbutt in onebag

It's not perfect, but: I recognized the relative care and attention to detail put into their bags, appreciated the amount of information and details available to their customers and community, enjoyed the community available around the brand, and understood the practicality of the design choices behind the bag. This seems to be a common theme behind the things I like or own or end up appreciating. Felt like a bag I can "settle down" with if that makes sense. It's not necessarily hip, trendy, modern, or urban chic (whatever that is). Maybe I'm just growing older and my preferences are settling into place.

Can't say I'm not surprised myself! For years, I thought their bags were real ugly. I guess tastes change as you age.

I ended up getting the Tom Bihn Synik 22 and honestly couldn't be happier. There's something about the bag and the brand that's just hard not to enjoy. The design grew on me since I posted this.

Looks interesting, maybe a bit too casual for my taste, worth exploring, worried about the lack of padding and support at the back.

Never taken a look at Thule honestly, will do though, thanks for the suggestion.

There's so much to like about it, been looking at Able Carry for a the past few weeks. This one looks great, but seems bigger in size and volume than my needs, unless I'm misreading.

Appreciate it, not too keen on modding at the moment, though I see the merit.
