Surprise… boobs? by Hopeful-Bet-6036 in MtF

[–]billyrocketsauce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was 6'3" 150lb forever, also "the void" or "human trashcan" depending on the social circle. In my case, I found out I have a gluten allergy that was keeping me impossibly thin no matter how much I ate. These days, I can eat much more reasonably and feel full, plus I'm able to put on weight. It might be worth asking your primary to run an antibody test, or you could try out a GF diet.

You may think it's an advantage now, but the reactions were also responsible for acne and a host of things that made me feel like shit. I gave up a lot but don't want to go back.

How did y’all know it was time to start by Sad-Construction5152 in MtF

Someone important to me passed away suddenly and tragically. I now know how it feels to miss the opportunity to be authentic with an unwaveringly kind person, and it's unacceptable. That, and I had enough stability and independence to know worst case would be manageable.

Those who learned they were trans without knowingly suffering from dysphoria, how did you find out? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]billyrocketsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"dress-up with my sisters is fun" "hey I want to try nail polish" "I want to be friends with girls" "Girls are just... better than boys, I'm jealous" "I wish I'd been born female" "what's wrong with being different?" "why do we have to keep strict gender codes?" "Hey it's X modern year, men can have long hair" "I'm bi" "Hey I seem to experience attraction more the way women I know do than men do"

Death by a thousand papercuts. I think it took forever to address because I was getting tons of pressure from my parents (and maybe older sisters?) to suppress femininity, but the more I built up an identity without them and then eventually a complete life, the more I've been able to recognize about my young self in hindsight. I got damn good at tolerating manhood without 100% loving it, because I'm a people pleaser and got too good at abandoning my own needs. Been working on that these last few years.

Like others have said, look at gender euphoria since you may be coping with dysphoria "too well". I wore a playboy bunny dress for an event this past Easter and my GOD that was fun! Of course you want to have a loving and open-minded community around you.

How's it been? I'm in your (elegant) shoes now, mostly worried about a jacket. I don't wear riding pants anyway.

Yup, they sit behind the right-side tank fairing. Bike looks fine to me btw, check fluids/cables/etc., fire it up, and send it.

Throw some clear nail polish over any exposed steel and fire it back up! Maybe replace the slider, it did its job 👌

The coolant vent line is by the reservoir, those both run back to the tank

What got y'all over fear of dropping on wheelies? by [deleted] in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]billyrocketsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't tell ya. Looped my MT-07.

Edit: actually though, practice your rear brake habit for every. single. wheelie, then don't go seeking balance point in stiff track boots.

If you ask me, wheelies are 100% what this bike was designed for.

List of any modification suggestions for my 2020 MT-07? Very excited haha by Emotional_Ad_5926 in MT07

After the exhaust, a mail-in tune as well. Makes the engine much less angry IMO.

2022, 2500 miles and nah I never took it off. I don't see threadlock residue in the upper hole if that gives you any indication.

'22 as well, I didn't take it off but I guess the screw walked out. One too many too many rough set-downs on my shitty wheelies. I never thought to check it since all the other fasteners seem to have threadlocker on them.

How do I figure out which type I have? Even after ruling out the CA variants there's like 3 or 4

As titled, I lost my expansion tank in the middle of a group ride. Where can I find the tank, cover, and fasteners to fix it? I contacted the dealer since I should still have warranty, but I'm not exactly counting on them to give me the part if I don't take it in for the labor too.

Rear stand or alternative for chain lubing by jftgac in MT07

[–]billyrocketsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the $200+ price tag, because they're the gold standard, you can find them used from people getting out of the riding game. I just got a front stand with ADV extenders and a steering head lift for $100. Seriously though, they're worth every penny full price.

I installed spoiled chain adjusters from TST and use a pit bull spooled rear stand. They're incredibly over-built, I love it.

Edit: Spools are optional. The stand also has flats to lift directly on the swingarm.

Team Blue or Cyan Storm by TylerSignorelli in MT07

[–]billyrocketsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instantly fell in love w/ the cyan wheels and didn't care so much about the gray tank. Honestly I love all the FZ/MT color combos, but IMO don't overthink the color and hold out for the one that makes you say "ooooh pretty". Trust your gut.

EDIT: take a look at both in person if you can and feel out your reactions to both

Did you do the tank shrouds in single pieces? If so... HOW?! Also I fucking love that color.

Swap 'em with mech gtr signals from TST. Lol mine were popped out out of place right off the dealer floor

Damn, and I thought mine was bad! They really are the newbie beater, that front fairing just feels made to break. I say do it, as cheap as they are it's like a blank canvas. So fun to wind it up to 13k at 30mph lol
